On May 3, 2022, our colleague Alexandra Cotae had the honor to participate in an event of historical significance: the tribute symposium dedicated to the Martyr Dean Aurel Munteanu on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of his birth. The commemorative event was organized by the Orthodox Archdiocese of Huedin at its administrative headquarters, starting at 10:00 a.m., in the presence of His Grace (H.G.) Father Benedict Bistrițeanul, the Vicar Bishop of the Archdiocese of Vad, Feleac and Cluj, the clergy of the Orthodox Deanery of Huedin and numerous believers and students of  “Octavian Goga” Theoretical High School and “Vlădeasa” Technological High School in Huedin.

The tribute symposium began with a memorial service for Dean Aurel Munteanu, on which occasion His Grace Father Benedict blessed the recently restored statue of the martyr protopope. The service was followed by the actual symposium, held in the meeting hall of the institution. On this occasion, the tribute volume “140 years since the birth of Father Dean Aurel Munteanu” was launched, published with the blessing of His Eminence Father Archbishop and Metropolitan Andrei, under the coordination of Father Dean Dan-Ionuț Luputan and teacher Mădălin-Sebastian Lung. member of the Academy of Elites, Models and Values platform (https://elite.mcb-institute.org/membrii-academiei/), and with a foreword Vasile Todincă, PhD – scientific researcher (grade I) at Muzeul Țării Crișurilor (Museum of the Land of Criș rivers) in Oradea.

The volume is the result of a cultural-scientific project (https://elite.mcb-institute.org/proiecte/140-de-ani-de-la-nasterea-parintelui-protopop-aurel-munteanu/ ) carried out under the tutelage of the Academy of Elites, Models and Values, of the Huedin Orthodox Deanery and the Sebeș “Vasile Moga” Division of ASTRA (https://astrasebesblog.wordpress.com/ ) to which 12 prominent personalities of our Romanian culture, science and spirituality, from the country and abroad – priests, teachers, researchers – contributed, as follows:

The symposium was moderated by our colleague Teacher Mădălin-Sebastian Lung and the following spoke about the volume and the life and personality of the Martyr Dean Aurel Munteanu: H.G. Fr. Simpozion omagial: 140 de la nașterea Părintelui Protopop martir Aurel Munteanu – 3 mai 2022

În data de 3 mai 2022, colega noastră Alexandra Cotae a avut onoarea să participe la un eveniment de însemnătate istorică: simpozionul omagial dedicat părintelui protopop martir Aurel Munteanu cu prilejul împlinirii a 140 de ani de la nașterea sa. Evenimentul comemorativ a fost organizat de Protopopiatul Ortodox din Huedin la sediul său administrativ, începând cu ora 10.00, în prezența Preasfințitului Părinte Benedict Bistrițeanul, Episcopul-vicar al Arhiepiscopiei Vadului, Feleacului și Clujului, a clericilor din Protopopiatul Huedin și a numeroși credincioși și elevi de la Liceul Teoretic „Octavian Goga” și de la Liceul Tehnologic „Vlădeasa” din Huedin.

Simpozionul omagial a debutat cu o slujbă de pomenire a Părintelui Protopop Aurel Munteanu, prilej cu care Preasfințitul Părinte Benedict a binecuvântat statuia recent restaurată a protopopului martir. Slujba a fost urmată de simpozionul propriu-zis, desfășurat în sala de ședințe a instituției. Cu această ocazie a fost lansat volumul omagial „140 de ani de la nașterea părintelui protopop Aurel Munteanu”, apărut cu binecuvântarea Înaltpreasfințitului Părinte Arhiepiscop și Mitropolit Andrei, sub coordonarea părintelui protopop Dan-Ionuț Lupuțan și prof. Simpozionul a fost moderat de colegul Prof. Mădălin-Sebastian Lung și au ținut cuvântări cu privire la volum și la viața și personalitatea părintelui protopop martir Aurel Munteanu următorii: Preasfințitul Părinte Benedict Bistrițeanul, pr. Dan-Ionuț Lupuțan, C.Ș. Dr. Mircea Gheorghe Abrudan, C.Ș. Dr. Vasile Todincă și colega noastră Alexandra Cotae, în calitate de reprezentantă a Academiei Elitelor, Modelelor și Valorilor.

Felicităm coordonatorii pentru inițiativa acestui proiect și le mulțumim pentru invitație, deschidere și încredere în a ne coopta ca și parteneri în calitate de organizații tutelare ale proiectului.
