CIVI Fair – October 19-20, 2016

In October 19-20 2016, Multicultural Business Institute participated at the CIVI Fair (C.I.V.I.-Cluj Initiative for Volunteering and Involvement) organized by the U.N. Youth Romania-Cluj branch, at the Casino building in the Central Park of Cluj-Napoca.

The event was dedicated to the public who are interested to know more about NGO activities in Cluj. Thus, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., visitors had the opportunity to interact with 28 NGOs from over 8 domains such as: social assistance, business, psychology, technology, education, Human Rights, youth.

The purpose of this approach was the involvement of civil society through volunteering and connect with young people, students or any resident of Cluj and representatives of organizations that are designed to inform potential volunteers about projects undertaken by them.

The CIVI Fair event began with a question and answer session, in which each NGO spoke about their profile and projects. During the two days, representatives of Multicultural Business Institute interacted with visitors who found our Institute’s profile novel and asked many questions. Meanwhile, our Institute’s members met with representatives of other NGOs and potential collaborators. For 2 members of our team, students at the Faculty of Business and voluntary for the first time, the event was a unique experience, with the opportunity to interact with other members of the pro-active civil society.

CIVI Fair ended with a festive moment during which our Institute, along with other NGOs, received public recognition. On this occasion it sparked more interest from those present, including the Youth Delegate UNO from Romania, Gabriel Uifălean.
