Between 23rd and 24th May 2018, the Center for Initiative and Organizational Development – CIOS, the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and the CESCO- Cluster for Circular Economy and Organizational Sustainability, Multicultural Business Institute’s partners, organized RE-MARKET – an event dedicated to the Green Week at the European Union’s initiative (EUGREENWEEK) to explore ways in which the EU helps cities become better places to live and work.
The main objective of the RE-MARKET event was to contribute to the popularization among Romanian organizations of the principles of the circular economy, showing the benefits of adopting strategies, policies, practices, principles in favor of the “loop closure” of product life cycle through recycling, and at the same time reducing raw material by latest technologies, thus bringing benefits to stakeholders and focusing on a sustainable environment.
The event brought together important stakeholders from business, academia, public authorities, civil society who have promoted the current participatory approaches with regard to sustainable urban development, networking schemes and tools for sharing best practices on loop closure. Thus, solutions have been identified in two main events:
